I’m back in Auckland for a short trip and a rest between two conferences. I decided to have a late breakfast at Swings. I was here the last time I was in Auckland and wanted to try it again, especially as I later learned that you could add a hash brown to your sandwich. I ordered the rocker, which included Egg, Mozzarella cheese, Corn Mayonnaise, Condensed Milk and Gochujang Sauce in the sandwich, and of course, a hash brown to be added inside. I also decided to order a sweet chilli rice cake skewer, which was slightly different.

I tried the sweet chilli rice cake skewer first. It was generally the same sauce that you put on Korean fried chicken. The rice cake was surprisingly crisp but chewy on the inside instead of just being soft and chewy. That added a nice texture to the side and the sweet chilli sauce really worked well with it.

Next was the sandwich. I was looking forward to this. The addition of the hashbrowns made the sandwich fantastic. I loved the mozzarella cheese, the egg and the corn mayonnaise with the spice of the gochujang sauce. However, I did find it difficult to taste the sweetness from the condensed milk, but that didn’t matter at all. Overall, the sandwich was really good.

I feel this may be the place I must visit every time I come to Auckland.
