Momma Bear tried this place out the last time she was in Auckland and could not stop talking about it to me. So, I decided to try this place and see why she liked it so much. Also, she couldn’t stop talking about it because these two rude girls were sitting next to her, and she had to tell them to shut up. LOL

So I ordered the Xiao Long Bao and the Dan Dan Noodles. As to be expected, the Dan Dan noodles came first. What I have learnt during my food travels is that you should add some vinegar to the bowl. So I decided to try it first without it and then try it with it, and I have to say I prefer vinegar inside the bowl of noodles as that seems to balance out the spiciness and add a bit more flavour to the overall dish. The noodles were cooked very nicely, and overall, the bowl of noodles was delicious.

Next was the Xiao long bao; I would say that the skins were slightly on the thicker side and also on the slightly smaller side. However, beggars cannot be choosers all the time. The flavour of the Xiao Long bao was very lovely in adding a bit of vinegar, really up to the level of the dumpling. Overall, it was a very nice Xiao long bao, but just a bit on the small side, and I wished there was some sliced ginger to go in the dipping vinegar.
