I went for an adventure to the Taipei fish market. It is relatively easy to get here via public transport. The fish market is considered a top tourist attraction in Taipei as it sells fresh seafood. The fish market has live fish in tanks, which you can buy, has a sushi restaurant inside, and includes a supermarket/deli where you can buy sushi and other bits of hot food.

I was here to buy some sushi, and to be honest, when I selected my food, My eyes were bigger than my stomach. There are non seafood dishes available. However, I decided to only go for the sushi as I didn’t feel like having hot food. I was there to only eat fresh seafood. I ended up buying three packs of a variety of sushi, though

My box of Sashimi was very tasteful and fresh. The fish is the main thing to eat. However, the wasabi they gave was in a little packet and was very potent. I did struggle with it as it also burned my lips. I’m unsure what fish I got; however, it is still delicious.

The Nigiri sushi roll box was full of different sushi types and was an excellent option to try the diverse selection of seafood on offer. It included salmon, tuna, scallop, sea urchin, and other types of fish I could not name. Each of the different pieces was super fresh and tasty. Also, the wasabi in this box was not in a packet but more of the drier variety. All in all, it’s another delicious packet.

The packet of Nigiri was my favourite. Just so fresh and tasty. The seasoning of the rice in all the sushi was on point. A nice flavour to it, but not overpowering the fresh seafood.

Overall, if you like fresh sushi, this is an excellent place to visit. You don’t necessarily need to eat seafood as there are other dishes available, including an excellent selection of fresh fruit. You can eat the food on-site. There are a few tables that you can stand at and eat your food. It is a simple setting, but it is definitely worth buying some food to eat there.
