Another place came up on my Instagram reels. I was intrigued because I had recently been to Taiwan and wanted to see if the food there could be recreated and tasted the same in another country. It is a tiny eatery but receives a lot of traffic, especially from the food delivery drivers.

I ordered their Taiwanese pancake with Taiwanese sausage and oyster mee sua. Their oyster mee sua was very nice. They added coriander on top, and I added some vinegar to the bowl. There were plenty of noodles in the bowl and lovely garlic and umami flavours in the soup/noodles. The noodles were very soft, and they were generous with the oysters. However, I didn’t like them in this dish as they were cold. It did remind me of the Mee Sua I had in Taipei. However, I preferred the Taipei version, which had beef intestines.

The Taiwanese pancakes were very good. I added some Taiwanese soy sauce and chilli, which tasted humble and homely. I really like Taiwanese sausages, as I like the flavour and the texture, which are denser and have heaps of flavour in them. The steam buns with an egg inside were OK. Nothing to rush home and talk about it.

Overall, it’s a nice little place to eat. I had breakfast here, which was a nice way to begin my day. They also serve lunch here, with a bit more variety of rice dishes. They also serve Taiwanese fried chicken, which seems very popular, according to what I can see on Google.
