As a Japanese Ramen lover, I had to try this Ramen eatery. The original eatery in Tokyo has a Michelin star, and although the Melbourne one doesn’t have one, why not give it a try? Apparently, the lines can be pretty long. However, I went before 12 p.m. and only waited for about 25 minutes before I got a seat inside. The lunchtime is limited compared to their dinner menu. Maybe they do that to get a faster turnaround, as people at lunchtime don’t have as much time to eat as at dinnertime. I decided to order the signature Ramen, Toripaitan Ramen.

When the Ramen arrived, the smell was so lovely. You could smell the soup, so warm and frequent. You can see the different elements that were put into this bowl of Roman: the thin slices of char shiu, the mushrooms, the bamboo, and the spring onions. The chicken-based soup was so tasty and thick with lovely deep uamee flavours. The mushrooms were rendered and had a sweet, dense favour to them. The char shiu had a beautiful smoky flavour, and I really appreciated getting to decent-sized pieces of them. The noodles were cooked beautifully, and how the soup stuck to them was just really tasty.

Overall, it was a perfect bowl of Ramen, and I can see why people wait so long to eat here. It was so tasty. Riding about it makes me want to go back and eat there and get another bowl.
