I was walking around Auckland CBD in the afternoon and needed a pick-me-up. I remembered this place that served Hot Chocolate with a homemade marshmallow around the cup’s rim. So, I walked up High Street and then to O’Connell Street and found this viral chocolate shop.

I decided to order the Hot Chocolate with 55% cocoa in it. The marshmallow is placed around the cup beforehand and slightly toasted with a blow torch. They then use a milk steamer to heat the Hot Chocolate and add it to the cup with a spoon.

The Drink! It is a great pick-me-up, and I wish I had gone for a hot chocolate that had more cocoa in it. The 55% was quite sweet, and stirring the marshmallow made it even sweeter. I do wonder if they do I with an espresso shot, and then I would really buy into it.
