We decided to try another popular burger spot on the island, Vili’s. It has a solid reputation, and since my last visit, they’ve made improvements by adding a covered deck and expanding the dining area. The students were excited to check it out.
I ordered the Vili Cheese burger and the Rooster Pack One to try their fried chicken. The Vili Cheese burger came with a beef patty, cheese, gherkins, onions, and their secret sauce. Personally, I found the burger to be underwhelming—it wasn’t anything special. The buns also seemed a bit dry and slightly stale.

The fried chicken combo was better. I received a thigh piece, which I appreciated. The chicken was juicy with a nice crunch, though I found it a bit too sweet for my taste. The fries were good, but when I compared them to my colleagues, mine weren’t quite as well-cooked.
Overall, I think consistency is an issue here. The service was good, and we didn’t have to wait long, but if you’re looking for the best burger on the island, I’d still recommend Palace Takeaways.
