We had just arrived in Osaka, caught the train, and arrived at our hotel. Once settled, we decided to head out for a late lunch. I already had a specific restaurant in mind, but another spot popped up on my Google Maps as we walked there. I immediately recognised it from a few viral videos, so we tried it.
When we arrived, the staff directed us to wait across the road from the small food stall since there was already a line of people outside. While waiting, we were handed menus to browse. At first glance, the menus seemed repetitive, but I quickly realised they were just different language versions—Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, with English underneath each of the other languages.

I ordered the beef short rib yakiniku sandwich with special barbecue sauce and a jam strawberry sandwich. Each sandwich featured thick slices of deep-fried bread, halved, with a slit in the middle to hold the fillings. The short rib sandwich had potato salad and lettuce inside. Tender beef and a perfectly poached egg topped it off. When it arrived, I was amazed at how beautifully it was presented. Eating it wasn’t easy, but I managed without too much mess. The combination of the crispy, deep-fried bread, the flavorful beef, the creamy potato salad, and the egg was delicious. It worked so well together, and I couldn’t help but marvel at how someone had created this creation. The bread added the perfect crunch and texture, making the sandwich memorable.
The jam strawberry sandwich was another masterpiece. It was filled with fresh cream and halved strawberries, topped with a drizzle of strawberry coulis. The contrast between the crisp exterior of the bread and the soft cream and strawberries was delightful. It was a wonderful way to finish the meal—a simple yet elegant treat.
It’s easy to see why this place has gone viral. They even have an outlet in Hong Kong! The sandwiches are incredibly well-made, and you can buy a box to take them home if you’d like. Unfortunately, I didn’t, and holding two sandwiches simultaneously was challenging. Also, thankfully, across the road, there’s a park with seating, so you sit there while you wait. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I wish I’d been able to try more of their offerings, but two sandwiches were more than enough for one sitting. It’s a must-try spot for something unique and delicious!
