This is a place I’ve wanted to try for quite a while. I’d seen several YouTube and Instagram posts about it, so I was really looking forward to finally giving it a go. As expected, there was a long line when I arrived, and I ended up waiting over 30 minutes for a table. If you order their pork cutlet on rice with curry, be prepared to wait even longer—it takes a while to cook, so don’t expect your food to arrive quickly.
The menu is entirely in Chinese, but Google Translate works fine. The lady serving me assumed I already knew what I wanted — and she was right — so I’m not sure how good their English is, as I spoke to them in Cantonese.

After about 20 minutes, my food finally arrived, and I was genuinely impressed. The pork chop was huge, the portion of rice was generous, and even the potato pieces in the curry were enormous. I tried the pork first and was amazed at how easily it could be cut with just a spoon or fork. It was beautifully cooked — tender, crisp and the outside well-seasoned. The rice was plain, as expected, but still very good. The curry had great flavour and a nice kick. When you put it all together, it’s easy to see why this place is so popular. Even just the pork with the rice was impressive, but adding the curry sauce made it absolutely delicious.

As mentioned, you’ll need to be patient with the waiting time. I do wish I had been dining with someone so I could have tried their ho fun as well, which they are also famous for. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I hope to return someday.
