I’d had a long day and was free around 8 o’clock, so I needed to grab something to eat. After doing a bit of research around Ginza, I came across this donburi restaurant that was highly rated on Google. As it was on the later side, the place wasn’t too busy, but there were still a decent number of customers inside.

I ordered the bowl with three types of natural, medium-fatty tuna, salmon roe, and rice, and it came with complimentary miso soup. The miso was actually very good — not too salty, with lovely pieces of seaweed and spring onions. The donburi arrived shortly after I ordered and was beautifully presented. The fish was incredibly fresh, and I really liked the generous amount of salmon roe added to the bowl. It was great being able to try different cuts of tuna, paired with rice sprinkled with small pieces of nori. The wasabi was also plentiful, giving the dish a good kick (and a few tears). A very generous amount of pickled ginger, along with the soy sauce, complemented both the fish and the rice perfectly.

Overall, it was a really lovely, refreshing, and light dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed the different cuts of fish and the quality of the ingredients. Service was excellent, and although seating is arranged around a bar, it clearly works well for quick service and fast turnover. This restaurant is definitely doing something right to earn such a strong Google rating.
