I needed to grab some lunch and really wanted to try omurice, as I’d never had it before. After doing a bit of research, I came across this place with an impressive 4.8 Google rating, so I thought, why not give it a go? When I arrived, I found it on the second floor of a building, with quite a few people already lining up. I figured a line is usually a good sign — especially when you’ve got time — so I joined the queue. In the end, I waited about an hour to get inside, which was manageable since I’d already had two doughnuts earlier, but still… this place better be good.

Once seated, I ordered their signature dish: the Double Cheese Hamburg, along with their house-made lemonade (you can choose it carbonated or still). The drink arrived first and was super refreshing, with a pleasant tartness. Then the hamburger came out, with the omelette neatly placed on top. My server briefly stepped away before returning with the gravy and cheese sauce. They sliced open the omelette in front of me — which looked absolutely glorious — and then poured the gravy and thick cheese sauce over the hamburg, egg, and rice.

The first bite completely blew me away. It was easily the best thing I’d eaten on this trip so far. The cheese sauce, gravy, and egg worked together perfectly — nothing overpowered anything else, and every element had its place. As I cut further into the hamburg, I was impressed all over again. Then I reached the centre, where there was even more melted cheese inside, and at that point… I was in heaven.

Yes, I waited an hour to get into this restaurant, but it was 100% worth it. The food was unbelievably delicious, and I can absolutely see why locals are willing to wait in line for so long. The space itself is very open, with an open kitchen, and what really surprised me was how young the staff were — no one looked older than their late 20s. It completely blew my mind that such a young team runs such an impeccable operation with food of this quality.

If you ever get the chance to eat here, I highly recommend it — just be prepared to wait. I also heard their French toast is unbelievable, but sadly, I just couldn’t fit it in.
