My family recommended this place to me, and since I’d never tried Japanese soufflé before, I was eager to try it. There was always a queue each time I passed by during opening hours. To avoid waiting too long, I opted to go at 6 pm, and luckily, I only had to wait five minutes to be seated.

Scanning the menu, I initially had my eye on the mango soufflé. However, considering it might not be in season, I tried the boba brûlée bomb soufflé and a hot Ube latte instead. The vibrant purple hue of the latte took me by surprise, but its taro flavour was delightful.

Soon, the soufflé arrived, and I was impressed by its presentation. Opting for just the cream on the side instead of the housemade gelato, I appreciated the separate bowl of boba to pour over the soufflé. The lightness of the soufflé was astonishing, and the brûlée, with its toffee topping, paired beautifully with the boba. The custard was exquisite, striking a perfect balance without being overly rich.

I left thoroughly impressed, understanding why people queue up for the Japanese soufflés here. They were light, with well-balanced flavours that weren’t too sweet or heavy. The customer service was exceptional, with attentive staff. Overall, a fantastic spot for dessert in Melbourne.
