While strolling around Queen Vic Markets, I encountered this eatery across the road. Despite my attempts, I’ve never been satisfied with my sandwich-making skills; it always feels like something’s missing, and I can never get the combinations right. I honestly feel there is an art to making a very good sandwich.

So, I decided to try Romanello’s Italian sandwiches and pizzas. Opting for the Joey Cutlet sandwich, I was enticed by Cotoletta di Pollo, creamy red peppers, pistachio pesto, sweet & sour onions, spicy provolone, and seasoned rocket. The sandwich looked promising, with fresh bread and enticing fillings, but the cutlet was a bit thin and dry. While the initial bites were enjoyable, they became progressively drier with each bite, indicating an overcooked cutlet.
Despite this, the eatery seems popular, possibly due to its appealing pizzas. Time will tell if it’s just a matter of picking the proper sandwich or if the pizzas are the real draw for customers.
