This is place is another Instagram discovery. These place came up on my feed a year ago and I found out about this shop that makes cookies in Auckland. Then last week, I discovered that it had bought a bus and it had travelled to Wellington and I thought I would give it a try. The bus is pretty cool and is fitted with a full kitchen and an area for customers to sit.
Bacon Chocolate Chunk
I originally put this in my personal FB feed and my friends went crazy. Asking if it was any good or saying they could not understand the flavour combination. What I have to say is that it 100% works. It is just so good. The savoury flavour from the bacon and the sweetness from the chocolate chunks and the cookie is fabulous. I also like the chewiness from the bacon. The cookie is soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. Just so good.
Oreo and Marshmallow Cookie
I went a few days later with Mulan and decided to try this cookie. I had to wait for this cookie though as they had sold out. The chocolate based cookie was nice and not sweet and even better that it was steaming out of the oven. The marshmallow was nice and had become chewy and stringy and when you eat it with the Oreo it makes a good cookie flavour and not too sweet.
Whittaker’s Chocolate Milkshake
I also decided to try their milkshakes and got one of their more premium milkshakes. I expected more of a chocolate flavour from their milkshake. It is made from soft-serve and then they added some Whittaker’s chocolate to the mix. Overall a good milkshake, but I wanted a more chocolate taste to it.
Tiramisu Cookie
I went back more recently and discovered this gem of a cookie. When I received it, I could not believe my eyes. A warm cookie with espresso poured on top with cream on top. This was just unbelievable and one of the best cookies I have ever tried
Macadamia and White Chocolate Cookie
OK this one was too sweet for me. It was nice but I think there was too much white chocolate on the cookie . It had a good flavour but you definitely need a glass of milk with this one.
Chocolate Chunk Cookie
The classic chocolate cookie, I did like this one. I think they use dark chocolate with this one. It is not as sweet and easier to eat, but it is still rich and some milk would go well with this one as well.
Overall this is a great addition to the Wellington Food scene and I can see myself going back (and I did) to try the different flavours and getting my cookie fix. There are so many unique and more traditional flavours I would like to try. I hope they change their range of cookies on a regular basis. Also would be awesome if they made thickshakes. I just love how these cookies are served warm and are soft in the middle and crisp on the outside.
