I decided to try this on my own as I had some spare time. it was rated rather highly on Social Media so I decided to give it a try. I expected an eatery with a few chairs. However, it is basically a takeaway outlet with on three tables outside to eat at. Also, there seems to be no kitchen with the storefront but there is a small service elevator, which I suspect connects to the kitchen in the building. All the food is either in a cabinet or a warming cabinet.

Chicken: Classic

This tasted slightly like KFC but had more different seasonings or different qualities of seasoning, but you could definitely taste the pepper in it. The skin was quite similar but was crisper to KFC. The fried chicken looked more appealing and was well cooked.

Cheddar Biscuit

This was a great biscuit. I loved the cheddar cheese in the biscuit. The biscuit had a nice crust around it and was light and fluffy in the inside.

Vanilla Doughnut

This was disappointing and I didn’t finish it. It had a nice vanilla flavour and glazing to it. However, it was very oily in taste and did not have a nice aftertaste due to the oil that had soaked into the doughnut.

Peach Cobbler Doughnut

This was a better doughnut. Inside was actual peaches and on the icing was really nice with some crumbs sprinkled on top that created some texture. The main problem with this doughnut was how messy it was to eat. Good flavours though.

Overall this place was good but not fantastic. I thought the doughnuts were so-so and the fried chicken good but not fantastic. I did love the cheddar biscuit though. I thought it was a real shame that there was not a lot of tables to sit at and in the summer sun it is not really a nice place to sit. I wouldn’t rave about this place which I thought had a lot of promise.
