Decided to try this place as my Aunty recommended this place to me. Although she went to the one in Perth, I thought I would try the one in Melbourne CBD as I liked the look of the menu and it was rated relatively quite high.

Deed Fried Chicken Spare Ribs

As you know I am a sucker for fried chicken and this did not disappoint. The chicken had a nice crisp coating to it and had some good seasoning to it. The side sauces were a spicy mayo which was really good and some sweet chilli sauce which surprised me. Underneath was some musculin which was nice especially with the chilli mayo.

Spicy Superior Bowl with Fish Fillet

This arrived and I was shocked. This looked terrible. What did it for me was the fish. It liked like fish scraps just put into a bowl. Besides the fish, there was some black fungus, mushrooms, tofu, some sprouting beans, and some green veg. Their superior soup was actually bland and boring. I added some of their Chinese Rice Wine into the bowl and nothing changed. The only thing I could really taste was the Sichuan peppers in the bowl. The fish was the real disappointment as it was overcooked and just not good. I only ended up eating about a quarter of the bowl. I just couldn’t do it.

I really liked the Fried Chicken but the bowl of noodles was just so bad. The service was average and I cannot see why this place is rated so highly on Google and Zomato. I know that I won’t try this place again.
