Discovered that Shake Shack had open in Singapore but only at the Jewel in Changi Airport. I have had Shake Shack numerous times in the United States, however, there was always one burger I wanted to try on the menu after my previous visit. I had seen and heard about ‘Shroom Burger which has popped up numerous times watching videos on Youtube so I had to give it a try.
The Shake Shack in the Jewel covers two stories and if you are likey enough you can get a view of the garden when you sit at the back on the high tables. The line was non-existent, but I think I went at a quiet time. I decided to order their Singapore Exclusive; Pandan Shake. Which included their Vanilla Frozen custard blended with Pandan, coconut, and topped with Gula Melaka crumble and their ‘Shroom Burger; which features a Portobello Mushroom filled with melted Colby, Monterey Jack and Tilsit Cheese, topped with Lettuce, Tomato and ShackSauce.
The Pandan Shake was truly fantastic. I loved it. The crumble on the top was truly a great idea and the pandan flavour was really evident in the shake which made it really good. The “Shroom Burger was also really good and I actually may enjoy it more than their meat burgers. Next time I will really need to do a comparison to see which one I like better. I loved the cheese oozing when you take the first bite from the patty and the mixture of the fresh tomato and lettuce with the ShakeSauce is a real winner in my books.
Shake Shack is opening another outlet in Tanjong Pagar in Singapore so if you can’t get to Jewel then go to this one. I may have to do a comparison when I am in Hong Kong as there are several branches there.
