Sunday my quest was to try some burgers.  V and I decided to try two places; Cafe Polo and the Larder.  This was the second of the two places we went to try.  Larder was very busy and we waited at least 30 minutes to get a table.

Bug Burger

A very clean burger and very fresh. The burger bun and grilled and very nice with black sesame seeds. The Morton Bay bug was obviously the star and very nice and deep fried with a nice golden colours. The lettuce was very nice and crisp with cucumber and the additions of capers gave it a nice slight salty flavour. I did not taste the fermented chilli or the lemon salt on the fries. Overall a very nice burger.

Hash Brown

I decided to try the hash browns and see what they compare to to Cafe Polo.  The hash was softer and more potato mash in texture and came in little round sizes. They were well seasoned and nicely cooked crisp texture. However I preferred the hash browns at cafe polo.

I would rate this burger a 9 out of 10 as well as the burger from Cafe Polo.  It was a really nice burger and very light and clean and the Morton Bay bug was beautiful.  The food came out rather fast but we had to wait 50 minutes for our seat and to order, which I thought was a bit long.
