Was in Richmond and when you are in Richmond what do you eat; Vietnamese. I did some quick research and discovered that I Love Pho is generally rated the best pho in Richmond. So I decided to give it a try. The menu is very easy to read and the dish come in three sizes; small, medium and large. You can get an assortment of different cuts of meats but either from a cow or a chicken.

I decided to go with rare beef and tendons. For some change reason I like tendons, I suppose I like the texture. When it arrived I was surprised to see how large the side plate of Vietnamese basil, bean sprouts and lemon slices is compared to what you get in Wellington. The pho has a good amount of meat, also had finely sliced onion and a good amount of rice noodles in it. The soup was very nice and flavoursome and tasted as it had no artificial flavoring in it. The noodles were nicely cooked and had a good texture to it, I do wonder if they were cooked fresh as I really liked them.

I can see why people rate this place and why it is comparably busy too other places in Richmond when you walk past them. As I said the menu is easy to read with three different sizes of servings and you can get servings of meat like, rare beef, brisket, chicken, stripped chicken and other parts of the cow and chicken. Also you get free tea with your meal, which is common. As well your food comes out fast and don’t complain about the service as you don’t pay for the service. I Love Pho also has numerous eateries around Melbourne but people rate this one as the best.
