Beat Kitchen; WOAP – Wellington

I thought I would try this on a whim. I have heard a few good things about Beat Kitchen and they produce a lot of good food porn on their Instagram website. I decided to try them during the Food Truck Rally and decided to have half with another friend so we could try more than one burger while we were at the Rally

15-hour pohutakawa-smoked brisket with pickled cabbage salad, Beat Kitchen barbecue sauce and a pickle in a Clareville Bakery cornbread brioche bun

This burger looked pretty sweet with the pickled red cabbage. The 15 hour pohutakawa smoked brisket was really tender and had a good flavour to it. Their barbecue sauce had a good tangy to it and the pickle was a good addition. The Clareville Bakery cornbread brioche bun was something I have never tried before and was so soft and had a good flavour to it.

This burger totally worked. The meat was well flavoured and as I said vey tender. The pickled cabbage give it a really nice freshness and vinegar taste to the burger with the barbecue sauce. It’s so yummy and I would go back and eat another one during WOAP.
