Was walking around on the upper side of town and had heard about this Vietnamese place. It is a small little quant place with a few tables and an open kitchen. The menu is extensive of Vietnamese dishes, but I was eating on the run, so decided to have something takeaway.
Banh Mi – Vietnamese Sandwich
Pork, Pickles, Cucumber, Herbs and Chilli Sauce
I decided to try their Pork Banh Mi and go for their long roll instead of their regular/standard roll. The roll is actually quite skinny and I do not think I would of been full after eating their regular roll. The roll was crisp and did pack a lot of punch. Inside was pickled carrot, cucumber, coriander, pate and chilli sauce. It was nice to have thick pieces of pork in the roll.
This place makes a nice roll. Would I call it an actual Banh Mi, not really sure. I have not been to Vietnam, but If I compare Banh Mi’s to other Banh Mi’s I have had in Australia and New York, they are totally different. However, would I go back, yes I would.
