Two weeks later after having brunch with Betty Boop and She-Ra. Another of our workmates decided to organise a dinner here as they discovered that they cater to people with Celiacs disease as one person in our party has it and two others are gluten-free eaters. We were very fortunate enough that we were seated in the courtyard which has a really nice atmosphere and is also covered and great for a party of 10 people.
Olives
We got presented with a lovely small dish of olives to share. They were really nice and slightly warm. A great way to start off a meal.
Glazed Pork Belly, Fermented Vegetables, and Kawa Kawa Salsa Verde
A shared this with one of my other workmates and dam this was good. The pork was nicely cooked and tender and I loved the crackling that was placed on top. The fermented vegetables of radishes and thinly sliced beetroot really went well with the pork and the kawa kawa added a nice slight peppery taste to the food.
Poached Fillet Salmon, Oyster Tempura, Lemon Risotto and Spinach
This was a really nice cooked piece of salmon and was a nice decent size. The risotto was nicely cooked and the rice was nice and tender, I especially loved the lemon sauce that was also placed on the dish. The spinach was nicely cooked and I loved the salmon skin, which was nice and crisp.
With a table on 10, Olive did a really great job of accommodating us. We basically had to dine and dish due to a work function that we all had to go to. They catered really well for our gluten-free eaters and the service was really good. I will definitely go back as they change their menu often.
