I decided to go have a coffee while I waited for Sandy to come into town. I thought I would go to Brother Baba Budan as I had not been there for such a long time and I thought I would give it another try. This place is rated really highly in Melbourne and I have not had it since I use to live in Melbourne.
Flat White
Ordered a double shot Flat White which is what the lady called a Strong Flat White. The presentation was nice but that was basically it. The milk was not smooth and tasted more like water as if they used “skinny” (Trim) milk. The coffee itself tasted slightly more on the burnt side and lacked depth at the end as all you could taste was the burnt bean. At the front, it has quite a sharp point of bitterness on the side of sourness.
This coffee is not what I am used to and really disappointed as this place is rated as one of the best coffee outlets in Melbourne CBD. I suppose each to their own but I now know not to go back to this place.
