Brother Bear wanted to catch up over lunch and asked me for a suggestion where to eat. As he works near Southern Cross Station I went to Google maps and discovered this place. Chick-in is a Korean cuisine eatery and in a small walkway between Collins and Francis Street. The eatery is quite dark and only three big tables where people share the tables.
Wings and Drums
Wingette and Drumette Marinated, Lightly Battered and Deep Fried. Choice of Original, Soy or Spicy Sauce
I also order the jungsik side, which included some rice, a dumpling on a green salad, kimchi and miso soup. The miso soup was nice and as was the kimchi. However, I was surprised by the lack of spice in the kimchi. The dumpling was nice and as was the salad, which had a vinaigrette dressing. The rice was stock standard short grain rice. The chicken was really nice. I loved the crispness of the wings and I loved the red sweet chilli sauce they added to the wings. The sauce had a nice sickly texture with a good amount of chilli to it. Overall a nice good dish.
