I really do love Hainanese Chicken Rice and this would be one of my top 5 dishes to eat and create. So I had to try one of the top-rated Hainanese Chicken Rice eateries in Singapore. Tian Tian is located in Maxwell Food Centre in Chinatown. Expect to line up, I went on Saturday morning and only had to line up for only a few minutes, where I have heard some people line up for at least 30 minutes.
The serving of the dishes is pretty streamlined, with one counter taking the money and the other serving out the food. I decided to try the medium Hainanese Chinese Rice for $5, which I thought was pretty worth it. On the plate; you get some rice, chicken from the breast part of the chicken, cucumber and some chilli sauce. For $5 and have some Michelin recommended Chicken you really cannot go wrong.
The chicken was really succulent and I loved the soy sauce they put on top of the chicken and the rice. The Rice was fluffy and fragrant and adding the chicken you have a real winner. The housemade chilli sauce is spicy and adds a great element to the chicken and then you have the cucumber to cool you down from the chilli.
Overall, a really good plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice. I could have eaten a lot more, but I wanted to ensure that I could try more things in the centre or around Chinatown.
