My friends from overseas have been talking about Jollibee, especially when they go to the Philippines. I was going to try it in Singapore, however, the reviews for it weren’t very good and I compared them to the ones in Hong Kong and they were really high. So I decided to wait till I was in Hong Kong to give Jollibee a try.

There are several outlets of Jollibee in Hong Kong, I decided to go to the one in Central as I had some downtime between checking in my bags at Hong Kong Station and needing to be at the airport to catch my flight back home. It was in the middle of lunchtime and it was busy. The Central eatery has two kitchens. One in the basement for people staying and eating there, while the one at street level is for the people that are wanting it takeaway.

I decided to order a combo with two pieces of chicken, Spaghetti, and a drink. I also ordered a Mango and Peach pie. To be honest, I was disappointed with what I saw when it came to the Peach and Mango pie as it was so small, but everything else looked good.

The sweet-sarap Jolly Spaghetti was actually really nice. It was quite sweet but surprisingly really tasty. There was a good amount of pasta with the dish and a really good amount of cheese. For fast food, this was really good. The chicken blew my mind. I had eaten the spaghetti first, but when I got to the chicken it was still steaming hot, crisp but burnt my mouth. The gravy that you have with the chicken was impressive and a great combination as it was thick and had a good flavour to it.

Overall, I can see why people are impressed with Jollibee. I was surprised to see how hot and crisp the fried chicken was. The place was pumping and it looks like a favourite among the people in Hong Kong.
