Have not been up to Auckland for some time and decided to take advantage of adding an extra day up there as I had to go for work. Needed to eat something to start my day off and immediately decided to go to No. 1 Pancake. I have not been here for ages but was not surprised that this place was still open and serving out some real cheap eats.
This place makes Korean pancakes to order and I decided to take advantage of having the Beef with Cheese and the Chocolate. It takes a bit of time for the pancakes to cook but while you wait you can see them making the pancakes and I am surprised to see they fit at least five people in their little food stall.
The Beef and Cheese is a bit of a homage to the traditional Korean Bulgogi Beef. The beef by itself is really nice but when you add the cheese it makes it so good. I also added some sriracha sauce to it and you have a real winner. The chocolate pancake is a real must and so good. I love how there is melted chocolate but also chocolate chips.
Overall a great place to get a real cheap eat. The place, unfortunately, is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Also, don’t rush to eat the pancake as you will burn your mouth.
