I was reading EatLitFood’s Blog and thought I would try this place out as he rated it so highly. When sitting down for an early-ish dinner for one (to which I did get a table by just walking in). This place gets super busy! So book if you want to come. The dinner menu is not really suited for one person and that if you are dinning by yourself go for lunch. Also, you may want. scan over the menu 24 hours before arriving as you may see something you might like to order as some dishes required 24 hours notice to be prepared and ready to be served.
So I arrived for dinner but luckily enough with my charm (sarcastic tone). I got a Wan Dan Hor but a single serving. I was surprised that this dish is packed with a lot of stuff and quite generous at that. Firstly the serving dish is big, there is lots of bok choi, fish cake, chicken, pork and prawns. This dish was hands down the best Wan (Wat) Dan Hor I have had. The sauce was nice and super creamy and the noodles were so good. Add the hot sambal and everything is just over.
The service here is really good and I had a nice little chat to the owner in Cantonese and English. The business has been around for over 20 years and has become very popular. I will need to come again and try their other dishes, including their Tofu as everyone talks about it.
