Was walking around the Newtown Fair and decided to grab some food. There were so many options and I did try some other things, but I decided to get my “main” item from The Little Goat. Little Goat serve Mediterranean style food and had an interesting menu and also had some saviours and sweet stuff on offer.

Goat Burga

Served in a pita bread with fresh village salad, tahini, hummus and tzatziki

This was a lot smaller than I thought, but with the size of the goat sausage/patty it made sense. The pita bread was nicely lightly grilled with the bottom filled with a village salad of cabbage, tomato, red onion and parsley. The goat meat was really nice and nicely seasoned and then with the addition of the hummus, tahini and tzatziki made the combination very nice. Then with the addition of the olives and the pickled pepper this filled pita was very good.

The Little Goat looks like they make their own meat/sausage. They cooked the meat on a bbq which give the meat a nice grilled flavour to it. They also make a halloumi pita which looks really nice and I will try one day. Although The Little Goat is a Food Truck/Trailer they also have a permaneant local in Porirua next to Soul Shack in Cobham Court.
